Barefoot running requires slow transition and injury free feet

Excellent profile of competitive runner Jeff Williams who recently made the switch to barefoot running after his knees started to hurt as he ran with running shoes. He advocates making the transition slowly, and recommends the Vibram Five Finger shoes among others. Most recently, he ran half of a 100 mile race barefoot – very impressive for a 48-year-old recent convert to barefoot running. Read more at
