Despite the new soles created for protection throughout the concrete jungle, it still conforms to the standard Five Fingers toe design and allows for more freedom in the toe area and a more natural movement. Finding the Right Size Vibram FiveFingers
It’s important when ordering the Vibram FiveFingers Bikila that you get the right size shoe. Vibram uses the European shoe size system so you will need to measure your foot and use this conversion chart to find the right size for you.

Vibram FiveFingers recommends the following procedure for accurately measuring your feet:
- Stand with your heels flush against a flat vertical wall.
- Slide a ruler under each foot and measure the distance from the wall to the tip of the longest toe.
- Take the longer of the two foot measurements.
- If the the foot length varies more than 1/6 in. it will be difficult to get a precise fit for both feet.
- If your your second toe is more than 1/6 in. longer than your big toe it may be difficult to get a precise fit

Wow! I really like these Bikila, I saw them about a year ago and I was really interested in buying them right when they came out. So I did and I wasn’t disappointed. I compare them to my KSO’s but they are actually quite different. I want to keep running in a minimalist fashion and with proper form and despite the fact that the shoe has a definite sole just like Nike, Addidas or New Balance, it still allows you and in many ways forces you to run properly. So for me this is probably my favorite Vibram Five Fingers shoe. I not only like the new look (it looks much less cheap and much more durable), I like the fact that it makes me feel more protected when running on concrete. |

The Best Looking One Yet After seeing the old school Vibram Five Finger shoes like the classics, I was happy when the KSO’s came out and even more happy now with these. These shoes look a little close to shoes so they don’t stand out AS MUCH as maybe the classics which look like slippers and doesn’t cover the top. Aside from the looks factor I found the shoe to be very comfortable. They were also very stiff and very easy to put on. These are the best looking one yet out of all the five fingers shoes. I use these to run while I do more casual walks and outings in my KSOs. |

These shoes stink, literally. They are beautiful (for five fingers styling), extremely comfortable and good fitting.
The materials smell very new. I placed them in my car to take to work to change and run after work and in the heat of the southern sun in the summer, smelled like plastic in my car. I hope this new manufactured smell wears off in the daily wear.
These are the most comfortable of my 5 pairs of 5 fingers. I wonder if they hold up well in the water? thats where I use mine the most.

I have 2 pairs of 5 Fingers (KSO, KSO Trek)…I’m a 54 yr. old Hiking Guide in Canada and Mexico, and have been guiding hikes totally barefoot for 15 years. I use my KSO’s when on very rocky terrain or with a very fit/fast client. For the most part I really appreciate them. Some of the construction needs to be improved though. I have broken/wore through, the cinch strap that wraps from the heel to the velcro. It seems that the plastic retainer that the strap passes through is to sharp, and cuts the nylon strap. I even replaced the nylon with leather, but it too wore out.
I have received alot of interest in the 5 Finger concept…but caution new hikers who wish to try the Product to practice changing their walking style to a ball plant rather than heel plant through true barefoot walking (on grass) in order to reap the physiological benefits of our natural gait and foot contact points…otherwise, without the awareness to change the walking style many people will receive more compression injuries from heel to toe “side walk walking”, when wearing the 5 Fingers.
