Why Kigo Shoes?
All kigo shoes have been designed with comfort and durability in mind. Thin flexible outsoles and removable contoured insoles with lightweight breathable uppers make kigos feel like a second skin. So light in fact that each shoe only weighs approximately 5oz. Given its lightweight properties, it is no wonder that wearing kigos enables you to closely interact with and feel the ground.
Another great factor of kigos is the shoes’ uppers are made of CYCLEPET, an energy-conserving fabric that is composed of post-consumer plastic products. Not only is this a reflection of kigo’s strong environment advocacy but their minimalist shoes retain its water and stain resistant EPA-approved properties while leaving it fairly well ventilated.
The kigo footwear’s outsole is made of molded carbon that contains grooves like that of two fingerprints. This feature additionally makes the high grip puncture-resistant material possess traction quality that remarkably works on all kinds of terrain, even on loose dirt.
Dr. William Rossi in a 1999 article in Podiatry Management said it best with regards to going barefoot :
It took 4 million years to develop our unique human foot and our consequent distinctive form of walk, a remarkable feat of bioengineering. Yet, in only a few thousand years, and with one carelessly designed instrument, our shoes, we have warped the pure anatomical form of human walk, obstructing its engineering efficiency, afflicting it with strains and stresses and denying it its natural grace of form and ease of movement head to foot.
Kigo footwear offers easy portability and a healthy barefoot stride that is wearable for everyday and athletic pursuits.

I live in Nova Scotia Canada and have just got into barefoot running and I believe your shoe looks to be more attractive to meet my needs. I am a long time runner and have I always felt more in tune with my running when I have run in my barefeet. I think the barefoot running shoes are here to stay and going to be the way to go for all runners in the near future.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Those look really comfortable, do they work well on treadmills? I live in an area wear running outdoors is next to impossible either the weather is to hot or it’s raining. So I end up running on treadmills at the gym. Either way they look way more comfortable than the ones that look like rubber toe socks.
