The Tough Glove is made of DWR treated synthetic leather with air mesh upper. It has the standard Omni-Fit lacing system of the Merrell 2011 collection that accounts for the glove-like fit of the shoes. Additionally, its rear foot sling assures you of stability while the fused rubber toe bumper ensures that the shoes remain intact regardless of the surface quality. It also has an internal construction within the shoes that keeps the mid-foot in place despite the rapid movements of the wearer’s leaps and runs. You will be pleased with the intricate details of the Tough Glove. Its foot bed is treated with the Aegis antimicrobial solution that resists bad odors. This works well especially those who will be wearing the shoes the whole day. Since the shoes are not made from the usual breathable material, the antimicrobial treatment serves as a counterbalance to the closed feature of this shoe model. For added comfort, the midsole of the Tough Glove is softened with 4mm compression molded EVA midsole cushions. Its 1mm shock absorber at the forefoot likewise protects the foot by distributing pressure across your foot. What’s more, the Tough Glove is quite light weighing only 5.9 ounces. |
